# Using the Dashboard

Dashboards are applied to help track and visualize all important metrics in a specific project. This dashboard can also be shared for collaboration purposes.&#x20;

To add charts to a dashboard, toggle to the chat tab to[ ask interesting questions](https://docs.athenic.com/getting-insights/asking-questions) and [save metrics to dashboard](https://docs.athenic.com/getting-insights/using-the-ai-analyst/saving-tables-and-charts).

On the dashboard you can set up [email reports](https://docs.athenic.com/getting-insights/using-the-ai-analyst/using-the-dashboard/scheduling-a-report), [share dashboard](https://docs.athenic.com/getting-insights/using-the-ai-analyst/using-the-dashboard/share-dashboard), and [view all the tables and charts](https://docs.athenic.com/getting-insights/using-the-ai-analyst/using-the-dashboard/viewing-the-charts). You also have the ability to [customize the layout of your dashboard](https://docs.athenic.com/getting-insights/using-the-ai-analyst/using-the-dashboard/editing-a-dashboard) with the edit button.
