Modifying a Chart

PreviousSaving Tables and Charts to a ProjectNextChart Basics

Last updated 2 months ago

Athenic offers powerful customization options for visualizing data, allowing you to modify colors, change chart types, adjust titles, add labels or trend lines, and more—either by commanding the AI or manually configuring styling properties.

Getting Started

After submitting your initial query, a table and chart will be generated. To begin customizing the chart, click the "Add to Dashboard" button. This will open a modal with:

  • A chart preview on the left side.

  • "Modify Chart with AI" and chart configurations on the right side.

Modify Chart with AI

  • Easily change the chaty type by typing commands in the Modify Chart with AI bar.

  • Personalize visuals by adjusting colors, titles, style and more.

  • A version history automatically saves each iteration of your graph. You can revert to previous versions or save a specific iteration to your dashboard.

Chart Configurations

  • Each data series appears as a layer under the Data tab, where you can:

    • Change chart types.

    • Adjust the X or Y axis and Dimension by selecting available data columns.

    • Assign custom colors to specific data series.

  • The Styling tab provides additional options, such as renaming axes, adjusting margins, and choosing color schemes.

Examples of Customization

  • Change chart type to bar chart, line chart, scatter plot, or pie chart.

  • Modify color schemes or update the color of a specific series.

  • Switch a line chart between smooth or straight-line style.

Once satisfied with your customizations, add your finished chart to the dashboard to track key metrics efficiently.
